ABOUT US New Beginnings is a non-profit youth-serving agency located in Lewiston, Maine. Established in 1977, New Beginnings is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Since opening its doors in 1980, New Beginnings has grown from a program providing basic shelter care to an agency with a variety of community-based services meeting the needs of youth in crisis and their families. The agency receives funding from individual donors, local organizations such as the United Way, and state and federal sources.
AGENCY MISSION The mission of New Beginnings is to assist adolescents who are in crisis due to unstable or conflictive living situations to grow socially and emotionally so they can build self-respect and lead productive lives.
